HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB 2026: Registration Opens 1 July
Registration for HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB 2026 opens on Wednesday, 1 July 2026 at 10:00 (GMT+7) / 05:00 SAST (South African Standard Time).
The region’s biggest trail running event returns in 2026 with two exciting weeks of racing across Northern Thailand. Early Bird pricing will be available when registration opens, offering the lowest entry fees of the year before prices automatically increase as each quota fills.
Priority entry is available for runners with a valid UTMB Index, with general registration opening 48 hours later.

In 2025, more than 10,000 runners from 90 countries took part in HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB, with international runners making up 77% of the field. In 2026, the event expands to two full weeks of racing in the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Thailand.
What’s New for 2026?
PAGODA 50 NIGHT
A brand-new night trail race at Doi Inthanon, giving runners the opportunity to run towards the iconic Twin Pagodas and experience the first light of dawn.
PAGODA 50 DAY
The race now starts at 07:00 on Saturday, 28 November. The Top 10 Elite finishers and Age Group winners will earn direct entry to the OCC World Series Finals in France.
New Ultra Start Times
The longer distance races have updated start times on Friday, 4 December:
- ELEPHANT 100 – 08:00
- CHIANG DAO 160 – 10:00
