After a relatively late start to the morning (7am) we started our road trip to Franschoek. Okay, it’s not that far from Cape Town but when you live in the southern suburbs traveling for more than 30 minutes to do something is considered a road trip so pack the padkos.

What you can; when you can; where you can – no equipment needed
While planning my first ever overseas trip I didn’t, for a second, consider how I’d stay fit while I was travelling. My thoughts were focused on the amazing places I’d see and the epic adventures I’d have while I was away. Little did I know that I’d be maintaining my fitness throughout my two week holiday.
I was asked to write about this part of my travels so here goes!
Instagram is probably the worst place to be when you’re hungry after a tough workout. Some how everything looks way too delicious and like a mission to make but sometimes its actually way easier than it looks.
Yesterday for some Sunday Funday we braved the cold, rain and flooded roads for something a little different. Over the last few months I have helped out with health screening for two different fit for hajj programmes. It is a journey which is not only spiritual but also physically challenging.
